Rationalize the irrational.

Umbrella as a form of protection.

I photographed an umbrella scene on the last day of August 2019. It was just another first-hand record. The picture however became the vessel that brought me back to the moment it captured. There were no rain. The ground was dry. The umbrella scene stood out as an illogical anomaly.

I scrubbed the photographs with a wire brush in attempt to rationalize it. The increasingly heavy rain eventually claimed the surface, washing out everything.

A dry storm turned out to be more devastating.
